Spotlight: GT’s Raw Kombucha Tea

with 2 comments

Tired of hearing all the complaints about sports drinks and other beverages that just contain flat out too much sugar? Want to be healthy, but sometimes want something a little more than water? Trying to avoid artificial sweeteners and dyes and maybe have special dietary needs?

I have your answer, and it’s the wonderful Kombucha Tea drink by GT’s company. This wonder-drink, a raw, vegan superfood-packed delight, not only tastes great and is refreshing, but also supplies an unaltered source of vitamins, nutrients and phytonutrients to keep your body top-notch. No, there’s no added vitamins in this one — the raw, organic drink made of a Chinese fermented tea, kombucha, just has some fruit juice extracts and that’s it — “made with 100% pure love”.

There’s really no better way to find vitamins, great taste, convenience and refreshment all in one place. I’ve certainly become a fan and I hope others will give it a try. I must say that I would even drink this as a replacement to juice in the morning as it’s so invigorating and gives that healthy feeling, along with the vitamins and nutrients like green tea’s EGCG and others, but only with 3g of natural, not-added sugar. Plus, awesome flavors like gingerade, citrus, superfruits, goji and more. Both products, the raw kombucha tea and the synergy mixes are excellent.

I must issue a caveat with this product, however. It’s such a tasty and healthy beverage — which means, of course, there’s gotta be some kind of drawback. Consumers should note that this probably won’t be a buy-in-bulk every day thing; it’s available predominantly at health food stores and will cost more than an average drink. That shouldn’t stop you vegetarians, health enthusiasts and others from once in a while splurging and enjoying. Also, be careful when opening the bottle: it’s so packed with delightful nutrients and fizzy, effervescent taste that it might even explode!

Enjoy and let me know what you all think. I’ll be getting on some more specifically vegetarian-related topics soon; lately I’ve noticed I’ve been writing a lot of product spotlights and other small topics. Be on the look out for Sunday’s podcast, too! 163 subscribers, w00t w00t!

Be well,

Brian
